||We are a children’s Home appointed by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and gazetted under the Children and Young Persons Act Cap 38. The Home is also a charity and an approved institution of a public character registered under the Charities Act Cap 37.
Established on 27 December 1989, MWH presently takes care of 70 boys and youths referred to us by the Courts, other government organizations and individuals, needing care and guidance.
We strive to give these boys and youths another chance to make something significant to their lives. Allow us to tell you more about the Home, about the boys and about our hopes and aspirations.
With the effect of end year 2011, MWH’s new gazetted names are;
Approved Home now known as Place of Safety
Approved School now known as Juvenile Rehabilitation Centre
Place of Safety now known as Place of Temporary Care and Protection.
In 2013, MWH plans 4 exciting quarterly campaigns. Do join us to make the activities and programmes for the campaigns meaningful and enjoyable for the residents. We hope these efforts would give the residents opportunities to learn and develop themselves to be a better person.
