We believe education plays an integral part in nurturing the children under our care. The boys and youths attend mainstream schools and we supplement this with in-house tuition classes. Most of these children missed school days prior to admission into the Home. Tuition, though costly, has proven to be effective in making up for lost time and facilitating understanding of the school subjects. Some of the children are also private ‘N’ level candidates and MWH supports them to study in the Home.
The Home teaches each child to be a good Muslim and role model. They learn the tenets of Islam, practices and are given every opportunity to better understand Islam. We hope that the values they learn and uphold will give them a good headstart when they re-join the community at large in the future.
